Second hand Polaroid SX-70 Land Original Instant camera for sale
Used The original and first instant SLR was this Polaroid SX-70 Land camera. Launched in 1972, it takes SX-70 film which has internal batteries to power the exposure and print eject. There is no tripod mount but Polaroid made an adaptor Polaroid tripod mounting plate 111 and autoexposure with a +/- compensation wheel. It folds up to measure 181mmx106mmx45mm.
The lens is a 116 mm f/8-f/22 4-element glass optics with a close focus of around 0.3m. It's manual focus and there's a split screen focussing aid.
The camera has a socket across the top to take the 10x flashbar or dedicated electronic flash. And there's a two pin socket to the side of the shutter release to connect a cable release or self timer.
Condition:
A film has been inserted to check camera functions. Exposure is working correctly, print eject is good, rollers are clean, flash connection works, timer / cable release socket works, It folds up ok and focusing is good. also very clean body and skin. FAULT the film compartment doesnt lock shut so will fall open if not held in place. The clip to lock this must have broken. Either repair or has to be held /taped shut.
