Used Velbon CX-440 is a lightweight and sturdy photo/video tripod with a 3 way pan / tilt head and quick release camera platform (not the original this one is slightly wider for even better camera base grip). The CX-440 features Velbon's unique self adjusting centre column friction control, which prevents damage to expensive cameras if the column is suddenly released. Helical teeth on the geared elevator ensure positive, ultra smooth raising and lowering of the column which can be locked at any height. The legs have three sections so a variety of heights/stabilities can be achieved. The rubber feet stop slipping on smooth surfaces.
