Used Nikon DK-8 eyepiece shield is used on Nikon cameras with a high eye point such as D3 D4 D5 D800 D810. It keeps the eyepiece clean, but also prevents stray light going through the eyepiece when you're shooting long exposures on a tripod with a camera that doesn't have a built-in eyepiece blind.
