Metz 50-40 NiCad battery pack for compatible Metz Mecablitz flashguns, including the 50 MZ-5, 70 MZ-4 and 70 MZ-5.
This is an original Metz battery pack, but it is untested, so I can't say whether it will hold a charge or work correctly. It's being sold as untested / possibly faulty, so please bear this in mind before buying. It could be useful as a spare, for repair or for someone looking to refurbish / rebuild an original battery. Requires the specialized Metz 759 Charger to safely replenish the battery pack. Enthusiasts frequently rebuild them by cracking open the casing and soldering in modern, higher-capacity NiMH (Nickel-Metal Hydride) cells (such as 2800mAh cells), which significantly increases battery life and longevity compared to the original factory specifications
